Define the curriculum and languages your programme actually serves. A Canadian LMS evaluation should test the complete course experience, not assume one national exam or automatic bilingual delivery.
Start with the province and programme
Do not treat Canadian test preparation as a single curriculum. Identify the programme you teach and use its official reference material. For an Ontario Grade 9 mathematics example, EQAO provides assessment information and a framework.
Map a small topic to your own lessons and questions. Keep the official reference distinct from your teaching content; do not imply your course is an official assessment service.
Test bilingual delivery only where it is required
If you teach in English and French, compare more than the navigation labels. Check lesson text, question explanations, captions, notifications and support messages in both languages.
Revise one source lesson and verify how the corresponding translation is identified for review. Decide who maintains the pair and whether learners retain the right course language after signing in again. Translation does not by itself confirm subject accuracy.
If your programme uses one language, do not pay for a workflow you will not operate.
Check access and reporting
Use separate learner, teacher and administrator accounts. Verify that a teacher can see the intended group’s work without gaining unnecessary access elsewhere. Test a report with your staff and make sure they can explain what its measures mean.
Request the provider’s data-processing and hosting documentation for review against your own contracts. Do not assume a Canadian buyer always requires the same hosting arrangement.
Compare the operating plan
Agree teaching hours, support coverage, content ownership and who handles a delayed enrolment. Test dates and reminders for the locations your learners use.
