An LMS decision can depend more on connected systems than on the lesson editor. Identify the integrations your course actually needs and test their failure paths.
Inventory the connected systems
For a proposed Docebo or PrepOS rollout, list identity, enrolment, communications and reporting connections. Name the authoritative source for each piece of information. Avoid treating every available integration as a requirement.
Docebo’s public platform covers a broad organisational learning scope. That is not evidence that every customer needs a long implementation, or that a smaller platform needs no integration work.
Test an enrolment event end to end
Use a test account and follow an approved enrolment change into course access and the welcome message. Repeat the event and check for duplicate access or messages.
Simulate a temporarily unavailable downstream service in a test environment. Ask how the failure is reported and who can retry it. A diagram showing connected logos is not this test.
Price the operating responsibility
Record setup work, recurring administration and support ownership for each essential connection. Verify which interfaces and usage limits belong to the exact package.
Keep Docebo on the shortlist when its required integrations and administration fit. Evaluate PrepOS against a focused academic course scope with demonstrated connections. Choose the smallest supported system that meets your requirements, not the shortest advertised rollout time.
Sources and next steps
Check Docebo’s official information and the PrepOS comparison against the exact packages you are evaluating. This is a PrepOS-authored pilot checklist, not an independent benchmark or a claim that the competitor lacks every workflow discussed.
